Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using WayWink through an authorised account, you agree to comply with these Terms.
If you access WayWink on behalf of a school or other organisation, you represent that you are authorised to use the Platform in that capacity and to comply with the obligations applicable to your role.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not access or use WayWink.
Students recorded within WayWink are transportation beneficiaries and do not create or operate WayWink user accounts.
Contractual Structure
WayWink is offered primarily as a business-to-business service to participating schools.
A school may enter into a separate proposal, order form, service agreement, statement of work or other written commercial arrangement with Lansumtech ("School Agreement").
The School Agreement may specify matters including:
- the scope of the school deployment;
- pricing and payment terms;
- number of students, routes, buses or other deployment parameters;
- onboarding and implementation requirements;
- support arrangements;
- service-level commitments, where agreed;
- contract duration and renewal terms;
- termination rights; and
- other school-specific commercial or operational terms.
If a signed School Agreement expressly conflicts with these Terms in relation to that school's commercial deployment, the signed School Agreement will govern that conflicting matter.
These Terms do not independently alter pricing, payment, service-level or other negotiated commitments contained in a signed School Agreement.
The WayWink Service
WayWink provides technology intended to support school transportation management and related communication.
Depending upon the school's deployment, this may include:
- route and stop management;
- bus and driver assignment;
- student and parent transportation records;
- parent-to-student relationships;
- trip generation and management;
- live vehicle location during active trips;
- estimated arrival information;
- transportation attendance and boarding records;
- parent availability information;
- driver trip and stop workflows;
- geofence and route-related events;
- transportation alerts and notifications;
- trip history;
- reports; and
- other transportation administration functionality.
Features available to a particular school or user may depend upon the applicable deployment, account role, device, configuration and School Agreement.
WayWink provides transportation technology. Lansumtech does not itself operate the school's buses or act as the school's transportation provider, driver, dispatcher or emergency service.
School Responsibilities
Participating schools retain responsibility for their school transportation operations and for the information they place into or manage through WayWink.
Each participating school is responsible for:
- providing accurate and reasonably current school transportation information;
- managing its routes, stops, buses, drivers and transportation assignments;
- determining which personnel and users should receive access;
- promptly disabling access for users who are no longer authorised;
- ensuring information submitted to WayWink has been collected and disclosed lawfully;
- obtaining notices, permissions, authorisations and parental or guardian consents required by applicable law;
- maintaining appropriate transportation policies and procedures;
- determining driver eligibility and maintaining driver records required by law or school policy;
- maintaining vehicles and transportation operations in accordance with applicable requirements;
- responding appropriately to transportation incidents and emergencies; and
- making operational decisions concerning the safety and transportation of students.
WayWink does not independently collect Aadhaar information or driver background-verification documentation as part of the Platform. Schools remain responsible for any such records they are separately required to obtain or maintain.
Accounts and Access
Users must access WayWink only through an account or access method they are authorised to use.
Users must:
- keep account credentials confidential;
- not share passwords or access credentials with unauthorised persons;
- use only the role and permissions assigned to them;
- provide accurate account information where required;
- notify the school or Lansumtech if an account may have been compromised; and
- not attempt to access another school, user, student or account without authorisation.
Schools are responsible for managing the continued authorisation of school-side accounts and users connected to their deployment.
Lansumtech may take reasonable security measures concerning an account where necessary to prevent suspected unauthorised access, misuse or harm to the Platform or its users.
Parents, Guardians and Drivers
Parents and Guardians
Parents and guardians must use transportation information made available through WayWink only for legitimate purposes associated with the transportation of the child or children linked to their account.
Parents should not attempt to access information belonging to another family, child, school or transportation account.
Where WayWink allows a parent to communicate transportation availability for a child, the parent should provide reasonably accurate information. Such availability information supports transport coordination but does not independently guarantee that a route, stop or trip will be changed.
Drivers
Drivers must use WayWink in accordance with the school's instructions, applicable transportation requirements and applicable road-safety obligations.
Drivers should not interact with a mobile device in a manner that creates unsafe driving conditions or violates applicable law.
Drivers are responsible for using assigned trip, stop and attendance functionality accurately and only for legitimate transportation purposes.
Where location permissions are required for an active trip, disabling the relevant permission may prevent live tracking or related transportation functionality from operating correctly.
Students and Child-Related Information
WayWink processes student information because the Platform is used to manage school transportation.
Students do not create or operate WayWink user accounts. Student records are created and managed by authorised school personnel.
The participating school is responsible for obtaining parental or guardian consent and providing required notices where required by applicable law before child-related personal data is submitted to or processed through WayWink.
Information relating to children must not be accessed, disclosed, downloaded, copied or used for purposes unrelated to the authorised school transportation service.
Additional information about the processing of student and child-related personal data is provided in the Children's Personal Data section of our Privacy Policy.
GPS, ETA and Transportation Information
Live location and estimated arrival information are operational tools intended to improve visibility into active school transportation.
Location information generated through a driver's device during an active trip may be used to provide:
- live bus location;
- route progress;
- estimated arrival information;
- geofence-related events;
- trip context; and
- other transportation and safety-related functionality.
GPS coordinates, estimated arrival times, route progress and notifications may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate due to device availability, positioning accuracy, network connectivity, road conditions, mapping information, operating system restrictions and other operational factors.
ETA information is an estimate and is not a guarantee of an exact pickup, arrival or drop-off time.
Users should not rely upon WayWink location information as the sole means of responding to an emergency or making time-critical safety decisions.
Schools remain responsible for transportation supervision, procedures and operational decisions.
Acceptable Use
Users must use WayWink only for lawful and authorised purposes.
You must not:
- access or attempt to access data, accounts, schools or systems for which you are not authorised;
- share another person’s transportation or student information without lawful authority;
- use WayWink for unlawful surveillance or monitoring;
- misrepresent attendance, boarding, trip, route or other operational information;
- interfere with, manipulate or falsify GPS or location information;
- upload malware, malicious code or other harmful material;
- probe, scan or test security controls without authorisation, except through an authorised responsible-disclosure process;
- circumvent authentication, permissions or access controls;
- interfere with the availability, integrity or normal operation of WayWink;
- use automated scraping or extraction methods to collect information without written authorisation;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive protected source code except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- use the Platform to harass, threaten, impersonate or unlawfully monitor another person;
- use WayWink to violate applicable law or the rights of another person; or
- use transportation information for unrelated commercial advertising or behavioural profiling.
Suspected security vulnerabilities should be reported through our Responsible Disclosure process rather than tested in a manner that may affect real schools, students or transportation operations.
Third-Party Services
WayWink relies on certain third-party infrastructure and technology services to provide parts of its functionality.
These may include services provided by:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud infrastructure and hosting;
- Google Maps Platform for maps and location-related functionality;
- Google Play Services for relevant Android functionality; and
- Apple services for relevant iOS distribution or functionality.
Third-party services may be subject to their own availability, technical limitations and terms.
WayWink functionality that depends upon a third-party service may be affected if that service experiences an outage, restriction, configuration change or other technical issue.
Fees, Payment and Taxes
WayWink is commercially provided to participating schools. Parents and drivers do not currently purchase a WayWink subscription directly through the public website.
Pricing, payment schedules, applicable taxes, invoicing, renewal, implementation charges and other commercial terms for a school deployment are governed by the applicable School Agreement, proposal or order form.
Schools are responsible for paying amounts properly due under their applicable commercial agreement.
Where permitted by the applicable School Agreement, Lansumtech may restrict or suspend service for material non-payment after any applicable notice or cure requirements have been satisfied.
Nothing on this public Terms page changes a separately agreed price, payment schedule, refund term or commercial commitment contained in a signed School Agreement.
Intellectual Property
WayWink, including its software, interfaces, design, functionality, branding, documentation and related platform technology, is owned by or licensed to Lansumtech and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Subject to the applicable School Agreement and these Terms, Lansumtech grants authorised users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use WayWink for the relevant school transportation purposes during the period in which they remain authorised.
This right does not transfer ownership of WayWink or its underlying technology to the school or any user.
As between Lansumtech and the participating school, the school and its users retain their applicable rights in information they lawfully provide to the Platform. Lansumtech may process that information as necessary to operate WayWink, fulfil the School Agreement and perform the activities described in the Privacy Policy.
Privacy and Security
Personal data processed through WayWink is handled in accordance with the WayWink Privacy Policy.
Depending upon the relevant processing activity, Lansumtech may have responsibilities concerning personal data directly or may process information in connection with a participating school's use of the Platform.
Participating schools remain responsible for the responsibilities applicable to information they collect, determine and submit to WayWink.
Users must not attempt to circumvent access controls or use information made available through WayWink for an unauthorised purpose.
More information about product-level security and reporting a potential vulnerability is available through our Security and Responsible Disclosure pages.
Availability, Maintenance and SLA
Lansumtech works to maintain the availability and operation of WayWink, but the Platform may occasionally be unavailable because of:
- planned maintenance;
- software updates;
- infrastructure maintenance;
- security work;
- third-party service interruptions;
- internet or mobile-network failures;
- device-related issues;
- events outside Lansumtech’s reasonable control; or
- other technical or operational conditions.
No general uptime percentage, response time or resolution guarantee is created by these public Terms.
Any service-level commitment applicable to a particular school is governed by its School Agreement or other expressly agreed service terms.
General information about our service approach is available on the Support & SLA page.
Suspension and Termination
Lansumtech may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary in circumstances including:
- suspected unauthorised access or account compromise;
- a material security risk;
- misuse of the Platform;
- a material breach of these Terms;
- use that may harm another user, school or Lansumtech;
- a legal or regulatory requirement;
- a request from the participating school concerning one of its authorised users;
- material non-payment where suspension is permitted by the applicable School Agreement; or
- termination or expiry of the applicable school deployment.
Where reasonable in the circumstances, Lansumtech may work with the relevant school to understand and resolve an issue before or following a suspension.
A parent, driver or school administrator may lose access when the relevant school determines that the user is no longer authorised.
Termination of a school's commercial relationship with Lansumtech is governed primarily by the applicable School Agreement.
Personal-data retention and deletion following termination are addressed in the Privacy Policy and any applicable School Agreement.
Disclaimers and Transportation Responsibility
WayWink is a technology platform intended to support transportation visibility, coordination and record keeping.
Lansumtech does not replace the school, transportation operator, driver, school administrator, emergency services or any person responsible for the physical transportation and supervision of students.
Schools remain responsible for:
- student transportation decisions;
- driver selection and supervision;
- vehicle safety and maintenance;
- route planning and transport procedures;
- student supervision;
- emergency procedures;
- compliance with transportation requirements; and
- appropriate action when a real-world transportation incident occurs.
GPS location, ETA, geofence events, route progress, notifications and similar information may not always be real-time, complete or error-free.
The SOS functionality available through WayWink is an operational alerting feature and is not a substitute for contacting appropriate emergency services when required.
Except for commitments expressly provided in an applicable School Agreement, WayWink is provided subject to the technical and operational limitations described in these Terms.
Limitation of Liability
The allocation and limitation of liability between Lansumtech and a participating school may be further specified in the applicable School Agreement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and except to the extent otherwise expressly agreed in a School Agreement, Lansumtech will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential loss arising solely from the use of or inability to use WayWink.
This includes, to the extent permitted by law, losses arising from conditions outside Lansumtech's reasonable control such as network interruptions, device failures, inaccurate third-party mapping information or third-party service outages.
Lansumtech does not accept responsibility for transportation decisions, driver conduct, vehicle operation, school supervision or other physical transportation activities controlled by the participating school or its transportation providers.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability, remedy or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
Subject to applicable law and any expressly agreed provision in a signed School Agreement, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of WayWink will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties are encouraged to attempt in good faith to resolve a dispute through direct communication where appropriate.
Changes to These Terms
Lansumtech may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:
- changes to WayWink functionality;
- changes to operational practices;
- security requirements;
- changes to applicable law;
- changes to third-party services; or
- other developments affecting use of the Platform.
The latest version will identify its effective or last-updated date.
Where a change materially affects authorised users, Lansumtech may provide additional notice where appropriate or required by applicable law.
An update to these website Terms does not by itself amend a separately signed School Agreement unless that agreement expressly permits such amendment.

Questions about these Terms, the WayWink service or a complaint concerning use of the Platform may be directed to Lansumtech.
